Senior Electrical Estimator
Location: Fareham, Hampshire (with travel as required)
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Role Overview
RJC Mechanical is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the preparation of compliant, competitive tenders ranging from £250,000 to £5,000,000. Working across defence, government and specialist environments, you will ensure technical accuracy, commercial robustness and full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications and schedules
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical small works and complex tenders
- Lead the pricing and submission of major electrical packages within M&E projects
- Oversee and support the electrical small works team
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of high-quality tender returns
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience estimating electrical projects in the £250k–£5m range
- Strong technical knowledge of current electrical installation regulations
- Commercial awareness with the ability to assess risk and opportunity
- Experience within defence, government or regulated sectors advantageous
- Ideally time-served as an electrician prior to progressing into estimating

Electrical Supervisor

Role Overview
RJC Mechanical is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the delivery of electrical installations and projects across defence, government and specialist environments. The role involves supervising electrical teams, coordinating site activities and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with electrical regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and organisation of electrical teams across multiple projects
- Support the Electrical Operations Manager with labour planning and team development
- Act as the primary on-site contact for clients and coordinate updates with Project Managers
- Supervise installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
- Attend site meetings and surveys, coordinating with other contractors and reporting progress to project leadership
- Support small-works estimating, materials planning and project cost inputs
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to electrical teams to ensure best practice
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure installations meet company, client and regulatory standards
- Promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with RAMS and company safety procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation, certification and completion of required installation records
Experience & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- AM2 Certification
- Previous experience supervising electrical teams on construction or engineering projects

RJC Mechanical is seeking a skilled Lead Electrician to support the delivery of electrical installations, maintenance and repair works across defence, government and specialist facilities. The role involves working on a range of complex environments while ensuring all electrical works meet current regulations, technical standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain LV electrical systems, components and control systems
- Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and remedial works across multiple facilities
- Review building plans and specifications to determine electrical layouts and equipment requirements
- Conduct electrical testing, inspection and certification in accordance with NICEIC standards
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with building codes, manufacturer requirements and industry regulations
- Prepare materials lists and raise orders for required components and equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and certification for all completed electrical works
- Support site teams to ensure installations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards
Experience & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

Lead Mechanical Installation Engineer

Role Overview
RJC Mechanical is seeking a Lead Mechanical Installation Engineer to support the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing, heating and mechanical systems across defence, government and specialist environments. The role involves coordinating site activities, ensuring technical standards are maintained and supporting the delivery of high-quality mechanical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain plumbing and heating systems and associated components
- Install and maintain boilers, pumps, booster sets, pressurisation units and water heating systems
- Install pipework, valves, sanitaryware, fittings and above-ground soil and waste systems
- Review building plans and specifications to determine system layouts and installation requirements
- Coordinate site activities and ensure the smooth running of assigned projects
- Inspect work completed by junior engineers to ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently
- Prepare materials lists, raise orders and maintain accurate installation documentation
Experience & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or Heating & Ventilation
- Experience installing mechanical building services systems
- Domestic and Commercial Gas qualifications advantageous
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating installation standards
- Experience within defence, government or regulated sectors advantageous
